HealthCare Share Program
Why Choose WABS HealthShare Program?
A Non-Insurance based Health Solution to maintain good health for severe medical conditions.
Our mission is to change the healthcare industry by connecting like-minded individuals to an innovative and affordable medical cost-sharing community.
Unlike insurance, the focus of HealthCare Share is to provide an avenue for members to help each other with their healthcare expenses. Largely due to the high cost of traditional insurance-based coverage, this is an innovative and fastest-growing solution for individuals seeking a more cost-effective alternative.
There are no network restrictions and care can be obtained worldwide.
Medical cost sharing organizations, also known as HealthShares, began in the 1980s when a beloved pastor was involved in a terrible automobile accident. His congregation came together to pay his medical bills-in full, in just forty-five days. This same community decided to continue following the biblical mandate to "bear one another's burdens" by sharing healthcare costs in a simple yet practical way.
Members of HealthShares across the country share one another's medical expenses in a similar fashion. This system has proven to be an effective alternative to traditional health insurance. Members enjoy the freedom, stability, and flexibility of medical cost sharing while keeping more money in their own pockets.
Membership is based on "Principles of Membership" where the HealthShare community members are expected to act with honor and integrity. Members should not falsify a sharing request, medical records, or use other deceptive practices. If a member abuses the trust of our community, their membership may be revoked or withdrawn.
Membership requires monthly member contributions, which are significantly less than traditional insurance premiums.
Members must reside in the United States or Puerto Rico.
With WABS HealthShare, your medical expenses are shared with the HealthShare community when you need medical treatment. HealthShare is a nonprofit medical cost-sharing program that provides an organized structure for members to contribute toward each other's medical cost expenses.
HealthShare membership offers financial protection when you are with a serious medical condition.

Note: Optional IUA cost mitigation policy is available through an affiliated WABS vendor.
